Margate Harbour Arm and Steps – 21ocm x 100cm oil on canvas – in progress
This is a start of a new painting that I want to incorporate the full length of Margate Harbour Arm and the steps. I used the old fashioned grid method to scale up the drawing in what is a huge canvas. I think overtime the colours and tone will change and I feel the introduction of people along the steps is a must. I don’t normally put people in my seascapes as I want to feel alone in the environment but this painting just cries out for some people milling about enjoying Margate Harbour. I will update this painting as it progresses.
