Born in Glasgow in 1971, I was educated at Dane Court Grammar secondary school in Broadstairs, Kent before undertaking a professional football career with Millwall Football Club in London. My achievements in football moved me around various places within the UK but also residencies abroad including North Carolina and Virginia, USA. A serious knee injury sustained in Virginia forced my retirement from competitive football but this also marked my academic studies in Art at the University of Richmond, Virginia (1993) followed by a BA Hons (1997) and Masters Degree (2000) in Fine Art at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent. I have exhibited my work for many years both locally and nationally. I have had previous paintings featured in 3 International Art Magazines; Modern Painters (2000), Paint and Draw (2017, issue 9) and I was the editor’s choice in Leisure Painter (March 2017). I have also featured on the front cover of Margate Mercury (Spring issue) 2017 and appeared in articles in Kent Life Magazine and Isle Magazine (both 2017). I have had exhibitions featured on the BBC South East News Today in 2016, 2019 and 2020. My work is represented in private collections throughout the UK, United States of America, Greece and Turkey.
