Margate Harbour - Christmas Eve 2020

I don’t wish to repeat the obvious but we all know this year has been the most challenging for all of us. The one place I find that never wavers and is forever giving - Margate Harbour, it never disappoints. I visit every year to capture the sunset on Christmas Eve at Margate Harbour a place I know well and has always been a constant inspiration for me.

I want to thank all of you who have supported my artwork and financially invested throughout the year including all sold prints, original paintings and other creative endeavours. I was fortunate enough to exhibit in September with Ross Andrews in our annual exhibition at the Pie Factory Gallery which was an overwhelming success. And the BBC South East News Today once again featured our show.

Wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year with all those closest to you. Here’s to a hopeful 2021 with a universal wish of some resemblance to normality going forward.

This will be my next painting on the easel in 2021 along with maybe a few others.

Myself and @rossandrewsartist would like to thank

Myself and @rossandrewsartist would like to thank each and everyone of you that popped by, showed interest in our art, discussed openly our practices, shared the beauty of our local seascapes and invested in my paintings and Ross’s photography.

The BBC News South East Today came for the 3rd time in 5 years to feature our show, but sadly this was not aired on the day due to Banksy trumping our local news coverage. Something I can certainly live with.

We all know this year has been a strange and difficult one for us all but both of us, as artists, are overwhelmed by the positive response to our recent exhibition ‘Meet Us Where the Sky Touches the Sea’ @piefactorymargate The need to celebrate our local coastlines feels stronger than ever right now and the response to our exhibition only encourages our creative endeavours.

We both truly appreciate your encouragement during this exhibition and look forward to inviting you back next year and to future shows as we begin the process again of picking up the paint brush and the camera in creating new work in the meantime. Your continued support only motivates us to do so.

As we embark on a new phase in this pandemic we both wish you all a safe and healthy future.

Today is a busy day for me and @rossandrewsartist

Today is a busy day for me and @rossandrewsartist as we collectively install our new exhibition @piefactorymargate . We both have worked tirelessly throughout the year to showcase, in what we believe, is our finest work to date. This year has probably given us more time creatively to focus and appreciate our beautiful surroundings and I hope the exhibition emphasises that.

We will both be at the Pie Factory throughout the exhibition, so please feel free to come and say hello as we hope to give you positive visual creations of the coastlines around us.
